  • If a non-mainstream approach is used in place of conventional medicine, it’s considered “alternative”.

Traditional alternative medicine are generally more mainstream and accepted forms of therapy as they have been practiced for centuries worldwide. However, it is common for complementary and alternative approaches to be used together or interchangeably.

Most alternative and complementary therapies work well together and aim to treat the body as a whole rather than just the symptoms. Theses therapies are also heavily focused on preventive health care and are geared towards helping develop attitudes and lifestyles that don't just fight illness but help prevent it too.

Rather than taking medications to numb sensations that comes with symptoms, during a Reiki session, energy is channeled to the body to recharge and clear energetic and emotional blockages to encourage healing and strengthen energy fields. Energy can stagnate in the body and build up over time. Accumulatively, these energy can cause illness to manifest itself physically, mentally or emotionally.

Reiki healing aims to balance and help the flow of energy while remove blockages, similarly to acupuncture or acupressure in physical form. Improving the flow of energy enables us to reach deeper states of relaxation, relieve pain, reduce physical symptoms, facilitate and speed up healing caused by stagnated energies built up.

During the session, you may feel a sense of deep relaxation, tingling sensations, warm sensation throughout your body etc. You might not feel anything at all. Absence of these sensations does not mean the healing is not working.

At Tehara Dream, we practice the traditional Usui Reiki method to aid in unblocking, clearing and balancing the chakras for your highest and better self and good.

All you need is an open mind (:
